Honoring the sacred Hésapa (Black Hills) and the people who once lived there, freely, Crazy Horse was known to wear a lone Red Tail hawk feather, honoring their holy guidance. The symbol of the Red Tail Hawk is of guidance and protection. Created on paper thin elk hide, painted with high gloss pigment, with a dangle of dentalium shell and hand made silver bead, all sterling silver findings.
